Hi, I’m Wayne and this is my story. A confluence of my retirement after a 39-year career in the environmental science field, a global pandemic that has taken its toll on all of us, and a successful battle with cancer, all within a two year period, forced me to re-evaluate my values and beliefs, which led me on a search to find a meaning and purpose in this next phase of my life. The words of poet Mary Oliver hit me hard: “What do you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” My hope for this blog is to not only attempt to answer that question, but also to implore you to do the same so that we may be inspired as well as inspire others.
